While the expectation was set high, the reality was quite different. The room itself seemed to lack basic upkeep; the bedding had a noticeable odor, and the towels were in a sorry state for a place touting premium standards. Despite the premium price tag, the differences between the so-called 'standard' and 'premium' rooms felt negligible. On the plus side, I appreciated the free Wi-Fi, which was a redeeming quality, alongside the availability of ironing facilities and an electric kettle. With 24-hour reception and free parking highlighted, one has to question whether they represent true value for money. In essence, for those considering the Vijaya, it might be wise to weigh your options before committing, as the luxury experience may not meet financial expectations.
